If you would like to install Rivendell on your own hardware, we have simplified the installation process for you. After a minimal CentOS 7 Linux installation, the Rivendell Broadcast Appliance installation script automates the entire Rivendell installation process. No special Linux knowledge is required, just download the instructions below and carefully follow each of the steps. We’ll guide you through the entire process.
Rivendell hardware that is setup using the CentOS 7 Linux distribution and the Rivendell Broadcast Appliance installation script is eligible for technical support services offered by Paravel Systems.
CAUTION! Installation of the Rivendell Broadcast Appliance requires a dedicated computer. The installation of CentOS 7 will require that your hard drive be re-partitioned and any existing data on your hard drive will be permanently overwritten. It is vital that any existing data that needs to be retained be backed up to external media before beginning the installation! Paravel Systems L.L.C. is not responsible for any loss of data.

4GB RAM (Minimum 2GB)
1TB Hard Disk
Mouse & Keyboard
Monitor capable of a minimum 1152x960 video resolution with 256 Colors
One or more of the following audio devices:

NOTE! Rivendell version 3 is a major upgrade and workstations running Rivendell v3 cannot coexist with workstations running Rivendell version 2. Migrating from Rivendell v2 to Rivendell v3 will require all workstations to be updated to v3 before they could be returned to service.
